CO-OP Formation Weekend

Let’s Own Coworking Bansko Together!

We believe that our community should own and run Coworking Bansko to make it more sustainable, less reliant on individual owners and grow it to the next level.
The legal structure that seems to be best suited for this is a co-op (cooperative). We aim for about 25–50 co-op shareholders to have a really broad base and keep the financial stake for everyone pretty low, expect between €1.000 and €2.000 per co-op share to reimburse Uwe's and Matthias' initial investment.

For three days,
we will discuss, explore and decide how to turn the current structure of Coworking Bansko into a successful co-op.

Here is an overview of WHY we want to change the structure to a co-op and enable community ownership of the coworking space [read this first]

Running a business that has only two shareholders is much easier than running a co-op with 25+ shareholders, especially when most of them travel a lot outside Bansko. So together we will use the weekend to develop a proposal for the future policy and the decision making processes as well as the tools for the co-op.

The event and later opportunity to become part of the co-op is open to everyone and we hope to also get some local business owners from Bansko into the co-op, however in case we are oversubscribed preference will be given to current members, partners and other regulars of Coworking Bansko.

Why is the co-op good for you?

Be part of the future of Bansko

Coworking Bansko is all about community, but we want to go to the next level and make it a community owned space. As a co-op shareholder you can shape the future of the coworking space and other projects in Bansko.

Ensure the long-term growth for Bansko

Matthias and Uwe are great and super smart in their own right. They started the space alone to build something fast, but to go to the next level we should all work together. Our community can move mountains!

Networking & business opportunities

Being part of the co-op gets you first in line to develop other projects in Bansko either as part of the co-op or with other co-op shareholders.

Give back to the community

Bansko and the coworking space has been a very beneficial environment for a lot of our members and most likely also to you. Let's be generous with our time and our resources to scale to the next level.

Pricing & Registration

Please book your own accomodation.

Amazing experience guaranteed! If you feel for any reason that this event didn't live up to your expectations, we will refund your ticket - no questions asked.

Everyone is welcome, but for this event we reserve the right to refuse people we would consider disadvantageous to our overall co-op strategy - if money is tight please message us and we will find a way to make it easier to attend!
